Live session recorded at Salon Daome Montreal on Saturday April 13th 2013
After 3 years of playing in a lounge it felt great to be able to warm up a serious dancefloor with some of my favourite tracks. This was recorded live and after countless hours of music researching, 20000+ tracks in my collection, 2+ hours in a dj booth, and about 200+ people dancing here’s the result…I hope you enjoy!
Big thanks to Max Reynolds and Martin ‘Spindeman’ Paradis for the guest spot!!!
cheers,
Matti

ROUX Soundsystem live at salon daome part 1 of 3
originally played live via audioboxlive.com on February 18th, 2012
ROUX Soundsystem took over the decks at Daomé last Saturday night for their monthly stormer Motion. With the club jam packed they got into cruise control early around 11:30 and kept people jumping until the end. They played the Prince Club (fellow Montrealers!) Whitney Houston hommage so be sure to find that track in this set. Listen again here and big thanks to Marinelli and Clifford for their peformance and selection. IMHO these guy sound like a cross between Cevin Fisher and Riva Starr….this live set carries that energy well!
ROUX Soundsystem is formed of redbeards Clifford Brown and Marinelli, whose common love for house tech and good company naturally brought them together. This dynamic tag-team is not to be missed at Salon Daomé’s Motion monthly.
Over the past year they have played at all of Montreal’s illegal afterparties, consumed an extraordinary amount of vodka/guru, and inspired thousands of people to dance – all without much sleep! These incorrigible guys from back East weave ethnic influences into their tech and are crusading to make “Groove” their legal family name.
