Marciano, based out of Montreal, Canada, is an Italian DJ and producer. With his original productions and remixes, Marciano makes tunes that hit hard on the dance floor. His sound is organic, ethnic and housy and always has a touch of soul. His DJ sets are built up with a bouncy, sexy feel and then progress into a techy and tribal explosion of energy. Keep a close eye on this man…you will be seeing and hearing a lot of him

Maus was raised by Jazz and Disco music-freaks. As a young teenager, she knew all the lyrics of Michael Jackson’s Thirller and became a serious Reggae fan. Later on, artists such as Bob Marley, David Bowie, The Police, The Velvet Underground, The Clash, Soft Cell and Anne Clark, completelty changed her life. In 1993, her vision of music took another level when she discovered electronic music through projects like Kraftwerk, Autechre, Plastikman, HIgher Intelligence Agency, AFX Twin, Squarepusher, Photek, Goldie and so many others. When she decided to start DJing, it was mainly to share her passion for the newly discovered movement. Locally, she got deeply involved in the scene by organizing loft parties and small club nights. Mainly attracted by cinematic and experimental sounds, her mixes were an ecclectic and unexpected journey in which emotions were at the first row. In 2000, Montreal’s local Mirror quoted Maus “Montreal’s ambassador of Drum & Bass” on their front page, while Hour mag was quoting “The Queen of Drum & Bass” when she embarqued on her first European tour with MEG festival to promote her first mix CD INTERSECTION, in festivals and clubs such as SONAR, Francofolies de Larochelle, Batofar, Lux and many more. That year, Maus started to play abroad and saw her name in many international magazines such as URB’s 100 top DJs to watch.

Fourteen years, many gigs, EP’s, CD mixes and residencies later, Maus remains one of Montreal’s most consistent DJ. Her secret? Never let others pigeon hold you, keep doing this for the love of music, take risks, dig deeper for that sound that truly moves you and never believe the hype.

Today, Maus is a resident DJ at Salon Daome and Club Peopl where she’s hosting two House events. Over the past years she held residencies at clubs and after hours such as Stereo, SONA, Aria and La Sala del Cel in Spain.
Maus released music on Thoughtless Music (GER/CAN), Eat More Beef (ARG) and Mile End Records (CAN) and she’s working on more productions including a new music project wich should see the day in the year to come.
