From the Electronic Groove podcast series, we present episode 377 Tone of Arc
San Francisco producer Derrick Boyd aka Dead Seal, now Tone OF Arc a duo/band production with partner/vocalist Zoe Presnick have been making music for most of their lives, two of those special individuals possessed with a wide range of musical expression. Tone Of Arc brings a glimpse of real musicality to the underground tech house and indie house scene, something rarely experienced on the dance floor. In the studio they have carved an austere path of “Nuclear Winter” atonality and Skinny Puppy theatrics to create, what could be best described as, “other worldly”. They also sing, play guitar, bass, and keys and it’s this vast sea of musical expression that creates a sense of a Grand-Guignol cabaret for rivet heads.

We heard this mix and just had to play it on the stream – Chris Carrier from France brings a huge session for the Electronic Groove podcast series.
Chris Carrier is one of those rare kinds of artists that have an omnipresent quality and yet do not seek to make their name bigger than the music itself. You may not even know it but there is a 99% chance you have experienced some dancefloor-based elation at the hands of the Parisian maestro. With over 100 production credits under his belt, he’s been an underground icon for the past decade. Never chasing the limelight, almost darting around it in all manner of guises and musical styles, Carrier is nevertheless revered today as one of the most prolific and gifted producers on the dance scene today.
